Springtime in Myrtle Beach

It’s Spring Break time and I love the spring! Myrtle Beach comes alive as the days get longer and the warm sun and beautiful, blue sky wakes everyone up from the winter hibernation. I see people out everywhere running, biking and playing on the beach. The local festivals are planned, the artists are setting up street exhibits and the Boulevard is full of people walking the boardwalk, riding the Sky Wheel and checking out the beach shops. I love the energy that springtime brings.

I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to live in this wonderful place. This is why I enjoy working for Coldwell Banker Chicora. It is very rewarding to accommodate others moving to the area. Times They Have Changed

As a lifelong resident of Myrtle Beach, SC I have seen a lot of changes to the area through the years. Actually I was born here in the old Ocean View Memorial Hospital, now a large vacant lot, making me an “original” to the area. The population has continued to grow; at one time you could tell the seasons just by the number of people out and about and traffic on the road.

Fall into winter was extremely slow and much different than spring into summer but not anymore. There are year round activities bringing people to the Grand Strand and of course we have the one thing to be enjoyed at any time and that is the beach. On top of it all the beach is free. The Pavilion Amusement Park has come and gone but in its place are more modern attractions such as a “zip line” and one of the tallest Skywheels. There is now an oceanfront wooden boardwalk with new restaurants and you can still cruise Ocean Blvd – activities to be enjoyed by both young and old. All that being said real estate needs have grown tremendously along the entire Grand Strand.
